He was born in Western Maryland, lived in Western Virginia and Eastern North Carolina, and eventually settled in Kentucky. These moves from place to place explain why he was an elected representative in 2 different state legislatures, Virginia and North Carolina. Eventually he became the first and fifth governor of Kentucky. He must have been a very talented man to be elected to so many public offices in so many different places.

Have you heard of the American Flag? You should because every morning we put our right hand on our heart and say the pledge.
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
The pledge of Allegiance means I promise loyalty to the flag of the 50 states of America and to the people who vote and make the laws for which the flag is freedom one country under god where people are important we are unbreakable, we have freedom in America and are treated fairly.
